The island of Maddalena is acclaimed for its beaches; it is characterized by bouldered granitic area and has some age-old fortifications. Cala Francese and Bassa Trinita are two accepted beaches. It is affiliated by causeway with the adjacent island of Caprera, acclaimed as the abode of the Italian revolutionary.
La Maddalena (A Madalena) is a boondocks and comune amid on the island with the aforementioned name, in arctic Sardegna, allotment of the arena of Olbia-Tempio.
